Brand «Hussein Chalayan»

Hussein Chalayan was born in Cyprus, Nicosia in 1970. He moved to England in 1982, and in 1993 he graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. His graduation work was the collection 'Given to the Earth', exhibited at Brown's store.
In 1994, Hussein Chalayan presented his unusual collection of dresses made from paper. The British press nicknamed him the 'alchemist of fashion' because he likes to combine traditional clothing modeling techniques with the latest technologies, using traditional and new materials, creating complex outfits that have no straight lines or symmetry.
The designer decided to follow the example of many colleagues and try his hand at perfumery. To realize the ideas for his debut fragrance, Hussein Chalayan began collaborating with the perfume house Comme des Garçons. The fragrant debut took the name of one of the master's most outrageous and famous collections - Airborne. The history of the fragrance creation reflects the life routes of the author himself - born in Cyprus, a Turkish citizen, but residing in the UK. The Airborne fragrance, like the biography of Hussein Chalayan, has absorbed all the uniqueness and charm of the Mediterranean.
