The legendary nose of Robertet and creator of iconic fragrances

Sydonie Lansesser is one of the most prominent names in contemporary perfumery, a master whose creations have become bestsellers for legendary brands such as By Kilian and Zadig & Voltaire. Her path to the world of fragrances was predetermined from childhood: Sidonie always lived in a world of scents, associating them with the most vivid moments of her life. This deep, almost intuitive understanding of the palette of scents ultimately led her to the famous ISIPCA school of perfumers, and then to the world's leading perfume laboratories.

Creative journey: from first experiments to global recognition

After training and internships at industry giants IFF and Symrise, fate brought Lancécer to Robertet. Here, under the wise mentorship of Michel Almerac, she honed her unique style, and in 2006 she officially received the title of perfumer. Her first independent steps—the fragrance O Boticario - Arbo and the exquisite P. Frapin & Cie Parfums - 1270—immediately demonstrated her confident hand and subtle sense of composition.

Breakthrough with By Kilian and the creation of cult hits

Sidonie rose to fame in 2007 when her fragrances By Kilian - Cruel Intentions and, especially, By Kilian - Straight to Heaven became a sensation in the niche segment. This marked the beginning of a long and fruitful collaboration with Kilian Hennessy, during which she created some of the most talked-about perfumes of the decade. She is the creator of such masterpieces as the mysterious and powerful By Kilian - Black Phantom, the crystal-clear By Kilian - Vodka on the Rocks, and the juicy By Kilian - Apple Brandy.

A multifaceted portfolio: from luxury to niche

Lancécer's talent is not limited to one house. Her portfolio is a map of the perfume Olympus. She has created fragrances for Lalique and Dolce & Gabbana (including the exquisite Velvet Mughetto) and breathed new life into Grès and Azzaro. Her work for Zadig & Voltaire — the delicate but distinctive This Is Her! — became a real bestseller, loved by millions of women for its cozy yet independent aura.

Signature style: sensuality, contrasts, and impeccable technique

Sidonie Lanssesser's style can be described as a masterful combination of emotional depth and impeccable structural complexity. She is a master of contrasts: she knows how to combine light aquatic notes (Cabotine Aquarelle) with rich gourmand accords (Flagrant Delice), and transparent milky-sandalwood harmonies (Lumiere Blanche) with dark, almost existential themes, as in Black Phantom. Her works always have a story, emotion, and impeccable quality of raw materials, which makes them desirable objects of discussion in the perfumery community.

Contribution to modern perfumery and legacy

Sidonie Lanssesser is rightly considered one of the most influential "noses" of her generation. Her fragrances are not just sold — they become cult classics, set trends, and remain in the hearts of connoisseurs for many years. From her early work for Comptoir Sud Pacifique and Salvador Dali to her latest projects for Navitus Parfums, her career has been a constant dialogue between tradition and bold innovation that continues to inspire the entire industry.
