The Scent After the Rain: The Freshness of Scottish Nature

Introducing After the Rain, an eau de toilette by the Scottish niche brand Arran Aromatics. Launched in 2005, this women's fragrance belongs to the Floral family.

The brand's story began in 1973, when the Russell couple brought their dream of natural cosmetics to life on the Isle of Arran.

They drew inspiration from wild herbs and flowers—the same purity can be sensed in After the Rain.

Character and Wearability

The fragrance is very delicate: its sillage is virtually imperceptible, making After the Rain an ideal choice for those who prefer intimate, skin-close compositions.

It is the perfect perfume for spring walks, romantic dates, or simply lifting your spirits on a gloomy day.

If you enjoy this fresh floral-woody profile, take a look at similar fragrances: Calvin Klein Obsessed for Women, Attar Collection Blue Crystal, and Lolita Lempicka L L'Aime.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.
Persistence
Low (1 to 2 hours)
2
Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.
Sillage
Extremely inconspicuous
1
Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Rose punches through the nose, as if trying to assert itself amidst the floral chaos. My nose couldn't figure out what kind of rose it was - fresh or with a chemical aftertaste. It's bright red, but I don't feel anything else, just emptiness without vivid images ))))
