The Story and Character of Voice by Betty Barclay

Voice, a fragrance by the German fashion house Betty Barclay, was launched in 1995 and immediately became the embodiment of refined femininity.

This women's fragrance, released as an eau de toilette, belongs to the noble oriental and floral fragrance families.

It was created by the talented perfumer Gérard Anthony, who infused the composition with both strength and tenderness.

With a very strong sillage, Voice unfolds with confidence and sensuality.

The bouquet opens with vibrant citrus and berry accents, flowing into a lush floral-fruity accord and finishing with a warm woody-musky base.

This fragrance is made for those who want to make a statement without words—it highlights the wearer's character, elegance, and inner strength.

The Voice bottle resembles an elegant female figure: delicate yet proud. The fragrance is perfect for evening occasions and special moments, lending confidence and charm.

If you love Voice, consider these similar compositions: Carven Carven L'Eau de Toilette, Moschino Pink Bouquet, and Laura Biagiotti Laura.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The smell is too heavy. The rose here is too oily, and the powder just overwhelms everything. The fruits seem a bit spoiled. This fragrance didn't work for me, it reminds me of something outdated, like it's trying to shock but failing 😒

The bottle, in my opinion, looks like it's telling its own story, related to peach and delicate white flowers. Although it somewhat reminds me of something from Flowerparty by Yves Rocher, there's a difference: Yves Rocher's fragrance isn't as long-lasting and seems more frivolous. Overall, nothing else comes to mind 🤷‍♀️

I heard this fragrance is no longer produced? I really like it, and I'd like to know what I can replace it with. For me, it's simply the perfect evening option

The scent is interesting, but something's off about it. It reminds me of the pink "Salvador Dali", but not in a good way. Woody rose with vanilla, as if someone tried to make something special, but it turned out kind of flat. It warms you up, yes, but in cold weather, you want something deeper, not this light nonsense. For rose lovers, it might work, but I think it's just another mediocre option. The sillage is decent, longevity too, but overall there's a feeling of sadness from expecting more. Feminine, yes, but too cliché
