Perfume information

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Eau Extraordinaire is built as an expressive line of development, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The signature of Clarins is clear in the way notes appear and fade. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Fragrant mist emphasizes a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

The olfactory framework rests on these accords: Citrus and Floral forming a compact and readable structure. The stylistic positioning is feminine, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

In a unified mixed pyramid the opening appears as one connected movement with a airy lemon mood: Citrus accord, Ginger, Jasmine and Patchouli.

The deeper layers are perceived as a gradual shift without abrupt breaks, which gives the structure continuity.

At olfactory-group level the composition is built around Citrus, Spicy, Whiteflower and Wood. It also reaches into Floral. From a family perspective the fragrance belongs to Citrus and Floral.

Overall Eau Extraordinaire holds a coherent structure — the first stage creates momentum, the central phase adds depth, while the drydown anchors the memory. This is the type of composition best experienced on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Citrus essential oils are clearly present here: lemon, orange, and maybe even a sweetish mandarin. Jasmine is also noticeable, but it's more in the background, not as prominent. By the way, it reminded me of a scent I recently tested. There's a slight sharpness of ginger and a bit of green patchouli. But, in my opinion, the real highlight is the natural citrus oils. The brand positions the scent as therapeutic, and it consists of 95% natural ingredients, including extracts of Kalanchoe and acerola seeds. The only thing that disappointed me a bit was the weak longevity, but for a body mist, that's not too important
