Fragrance information:

The year 2015 gave us Cool Water Summer Seas Davidoff. A masculine fragrance from the fern and citrus families. Part of the Cool Water collection, available as eau de toilette.

Expect a very delicate sillage: a quiet, intimate presence. A delicate fragrance with very low longevity — but what a first impression it makes. The birthplace of this fragrance — Switzerland, a place with a refined nose. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The scent of Cool Water Summer Seas evolves as a cohesive olfactory arc, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The style of Davidoff is recognizable in details that define the fragrance identity. Every decision feels deliberate, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de toilette sets the depth and body this composition needs.

The accord architecture is shaped by these accords: Aromatic, Citrus and Wood forming a compact and readable structure. The stylistic positioning is masculine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. For persistence Very low indicates a stable lasting impression. In trail behavior Very weak describes the way the scent radiates.

As soon as the fragrance opens you detect sparkling citrus opening note: Mandarin.

In the middle phase you notice Mint keeping a lavender-sage direction.

At olfactory-group level the structure relies on Citrus, Aromatic and Wood. From a family perspective the scent maps to Citrus and Fern.

In summary Cool Water Summer Seas sounds complete from start to finish — the start forms character, the central phase adds depth, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. This is the type of composition best understood in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.
Persistence
Extremely low (up to 1 hour)
1
Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.
Sillage
Extremely inconspicuous
1
Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Cool Water really has a lot of flankers, but this one stuck with me especially because my husband still hasn't finished it. The minty freshness here is great, but the salty aquatic note makes it not the best for everyday use. Even though it's light, it starts to get on your nerves over time 😅
