Description of the composition

The composition of Mountain Laurel evolves as a layered story, where notes flow without rush and without gaps. The creative approach of Demeter comes through in the way notes appear and fade. Nothing here feels random, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de Cologne emphasizes a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

When the pyramid is blended into one block the opening appears as one connected movement with a warm spicy mood: Laurel and White Flowers. Here 2 notes work as one integrated frame, building piquant dynamism that keeps the opening compact and balanced.

The heart and base are perceived as a continuous motion from lift to depth, which preserves the scent identity through drydown.

The accord architecture is driven by these accords: Floral and Spicy with each one in a clear role. The profile is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Spicy, Whiteflower, Floral and Wood. Within olfactory families the scent maps to Floral and Wood.

The scent is kinda green and astringent, but the floral sweetness just gets in the way. There's a herbal note too, but if you start imagining, you can spot some laurel in there 🤷‍♀️

At first I thought this perfume would remind me of a bay leaf, but actually it turned out to be floral. The smell is quite pleasant, but I can't say for sure if Demeter exactly captured the scent of the bay flower

The white flower scent is very light and fresh, slightly sweet. I can't say how laurel smells, but this perfume isn't overpowering, perfect for summer or late spring. The longevity, though, isn't impressive - only 2 hours 😌
