This perfume embodies the spirit of the Mediterranean, offering a fresh and inspiring experience that fits perfectly into the brand's portfolio, known for its elegance and femininity.

The launch of Mediterranean in 2007 reflects Elizabeth Arden's desire to expand its aromatic horizons by adding bright fruity-floral accents inspired by warm sea shores to the collection.

Positioning and Wearability

This fragrance is positioned as feminine and has a subtle trail, making it ideal for daily use, office environments, or informal meetings.

Its delicate composition sits lightly on the skin, creating a pleasant and unobtrusive presence that highlights individuality without excessive intensity.

For the best development of the notes, it is recommended to apply Mediterranean to pulse points, such as wrists, neck, and behind the ears, allowing the fragrance to naturally interact with body heat, although specific dosage recommendations for skin and clothing are not provided by the manufacturer.

Creators and Influence

The creation of Mediterranean was handled by renowned perfumer Claude Dir, whose experience in creating complex compositions added uniqueness and depth to the fragrance.

His creative approach helped blend fruity and floral notes into a harmonious whole, enhancing Elizabeth Arden's reputation as a brand that combines classical elegance with modern trends.

The influence of Mediterranean on the brand lies in its ability to bring Mediterranean freshness and optimism, expanding the audience and demonstrating that Elizabeth Arden can successfully experiment with diverse aromatic palettes while remaining true to its beauty heritage.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Smells like sweet and juicy fruits, with a light powdery touch. Honestly, I'm surprised, because when I looked at the bottle, I thought it would be something fresh. WOW!

Listen, what is this nonsense? I inhale, and it seems like lilac is all around. Even though it's not there! I've heard that wisteria can smell like lilac in perfumery. But this is absurd! How is that possible

The mandarin peel here is so soft, and the floral notes, slightly powdery, add femininity. Musk gives the fragrance lightness and delicacy. Overall, it's a very pleasant and airy scent that creates a feeling of comfort and warmth

The bottle with a marine theme and blue liquid suggests something fresh and light, but what's inside doesn't meet expectations at all. It turns out the fragrance creates a dissonance. It's sweet, warm, and floral, but there's something strange about it. I didn't even want to smell it 😔

If you're hoping for something refreshing and marine, you might be very disappointed. It's more like a large metal dish of dried fruits sitting under blooming lilacs. The only marine element here is a light breeze with iodine. It's strange, but there's something in it that makes your nose twitch 🤔
