Description of the composition

The composition of «4» Roses is shaped as an expressive line of development, where notes flow smoothly and sequentially. The signature of Frederick Stearns & Co. is evident from the opening to the final trail. Nothing here feels random, and the structure feels complete all the way through.

At olfactory-group level the profile is anchored in Floral and Whiteflower. Within olfactory families the fragrance belongs to Floral.

When the pyramid is blended into one block the fragrance opens as a single chord with a multi-layered petal mood: Rose. In this format 1 note sounds as one voice, creating an elegant floral wave that keeps the opening compact and balanced.

The deeper layers are read as a gradual shift without abrupt breaks, which keeps the fragrance coherent.

The internal accord map rests on these accords: Floral forming a compact and readable structure. The gender direction is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

In summary «4» Roses reads as a cohesive composition — the first stage creates momentum, the heart develops the core line, and the base secures the trail. These are the fragrances best experienced on skin.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

This scent is just terrible! No lightness or softness, just an intrusive smell that presses on the brain. The flowers everyone talks about are completely out of place here, and the powder smells like it hasn't been changed since the 90s. The pepper note? Yes, it's unnecessary, just like the woody notes that only ruin everything. In short, I don't recommend it, better to throw it away than wear it!

I can't say this scent really impressed me. It's not too sweet, not too sharp, and doesn't seem to overpower my senses, but damn, it's just not for me. Maybe it's because there was too much of it before, and now it just causes irritation. There's certainly enough originality here, but that doesn't save it
