Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Black Diamond unfolds as a living composition, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The signature of Herve Domar is evident in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Every decision feels deliberate, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail.

The accord profile rests on these accords: Balsamic, Musc, Wood and Amber with each one in a clear role. Additional accords such as Spicy add depth to the backdrop. The gender direction is unisex, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

From the first breath you sense smoky-balsamic first notes: Frankincense and Labdanum. Exactly these 2 notes form noble smoky warmth that is impossible to miss.

When the opening settles you meet Patchouli and Sandalwood keeping a spicy-woody direction. In what remains on skin the structure settles through Ambergris, Vanilla and musk, reinforcing a viscous resinous trail.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Balsamic, Wood, Ambery and Gourmet. It also reaches into Musk.

Overall Black Diamond reads as a cohesive composition — the start forms character, the central phase adds depth, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the fragrances best understood on skin.
