Description of the composition

The scent of Topaze is shaped as an expressive line of development, where notes flow smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of Honore Payan is clear from the opening to the final trail. Every decision feels deliberate, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Fairy, Citrus, Floral and Whiteflower. The framework further includes Ambery, Wood and Gourmet.

At the opening of the pyramid you sense radiant lemon-bergamot top notes: Aldehydes, Bergamot, Lemon and Neroli.

In the middle phase you notice Iris, Jasmine, Lily of the Valley and Rose holding a velvety rose-iris direction. In the final layer the line is anchored through Ambergris, Sandalwood, Vanilla and Vetiver, shaping a warm vetiver trail.

The accord profile is shaped by these accords: Citrus, Floral, Wood and Powdery forming a compact and readable structure. Additional accords such as Amber, Spicy and Cosmetic add depth to the backdrop. The gender direction is feminine, which clarifies the composition character.

Overall Topaze sounds complete from start to finish — the opening sets direction, the middle layer carries the identity, while the drydown anchors the memory. This is the type of composition best judged in wear.
