Fragrance information:

Il Profvmo launched Coquelicot in 2008 — and it was a brilliant move. By character, a feminine fragrance drawing from the chypre and floral families. Perfumer Silvana Casoli left a distinct mark on this composition. The fragrance belongs to the green, ambery, and floral groups. The fragrance is presented as eau de parfum.

It carries a moderate sillage, leaving a trail that lingers pleasantly in the air. The longevity is high — this one will stay with you for the long haul. The home of this fragrance is Italy. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The composition of Coquelicot evolves as a cohesive olfactory arc, where accents shift with precision and warmth. The creative approach of Il Profvmo comes through in details that define the fragrance identity. Every decision feels deliberate, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de parfum sets a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Ambery, Floral, Green and Wood. The palette also extends to Whiteflower and Fruit. From a family perspective the composition sits in Chypre and Floral.

In the top tier you sense dry woody opening notes: Ambergris, Bamboo, Frangipani and Patchouli.

In the heart you meet Hyacinth, Jasmine, Melon and Vetiver holding a opulent floral direction.

The accord profile is shaped by these accords: Floral, Fruit, Wood and Amber without random overlap. The stylistic positioning is feminine, which makes the scent profile easier to read. In longevity terms High suggests confident staying power. In trail behavior Middle describes the way the scent radiates.

Overall Coquelicot holds a coherent structure — the first stage creates momentum, the central phase adds depth, and the base secures the trail. This is the type of composition best experienced in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

In this fragrance, I sense green bamboo and woody patchouli notes, the freshness of melon intertwines with sweet accents of wisteria and amber. But, honestly, I wouldn't buy it. On my skin, there's too much bamboo. Although I like wisteria. The scent is quite long-lasting
