My Afrika joined the Krizia portfolio in 2006. A feminine fragrance rooted in the spicy and east families. Released in eau de toilette.

It has a delicate sillage, staying close and personal. Longevity is on the low side — a good excuse to refresh it throughout the day. Country of origin — Italy: no wonder the fragrance turned out this refined. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.

Description of the composition

The scent of My Afrika is shaped as a layered story, where layers reveal themselves with precision and warmth. The signature of Krizia comes through in the way notes appear and fade. No excess details, only what works, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de toilette keeps the depth and body this composition needs.

At the opening of the pyramid you detect piquant warm first notes: Ginger and Lemon. These 2 notes set voluminous spicy depth that is impossible to miss.

In the central layer you meet Heliotrope and Jasmine carrying a velvety rose-iris direction.

The profile is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. In longevity terms Low indicates a stable lasting impression. In diffusion Weak describes the way the scent radiates.

At the note-group layer the profile is anchored in Spicy, Citrus, Floral and Whiteflower. The framework further includes Ambery, Wood and Gourmet. From a family perspective the scent maps to East and Spicy.

Taken together My Afrika sounds complete from start to finish — the first stage creates momentum, the central phase adds depth, while the drydown anchors the memory. This is the type of composition best judged through real development.

This scent, to be honest, only causes bewilderment. Some strange combination of wood and spices that just don't seem to go together. In the heat, it certainly unfolds, but instead of a pleasant sweetness, there's a heavy feeling that presses on your mind. I don't know who came up with this, but I don't like it at all
