KST Scent Tambae is a unisex perfume from the American fragrance house KST Scent.
The eau de parfum was released in 2024 and immediately makes its presence known with a rich, expressive character and a very powerful sillage.
The composition belongs to the woody family and is built around contrasts: dry smoke, bitter tea, dense oud and warm amber.
Tambae does not try to be light or discreet — it is a confident, atmospheric release for those who enjoy deep, textured compositions.
At first, Tambae smells cool, mineralic and slightly astringent: smoke blends with ginseng tea, creating an impression of dry air, smoldering materials and an unusual beverage accord.
As it develops, the fragrance becomes darker and softer, while the woody theme moves to the forefront.
Oud and a paper accord are particularly noticeable at the heart.
Oud adds resinous depth and distinctive woody density, while the paper accord makes the scent drier, cleaner and slightly abstract.
The dry-down unfolds with warm amber and tobacco, leaving a rich, enveloping trail on the skin.
Tambae is presented as a unisex fragrance, although its powerful woody-ambery style may especially appeal to those who prefer expressive compositions without overt sweetness or floral softness.
It is well suited to autumn, winter and cool spring days, when dense resinous and tobacco nuances unfold most fully.
Because of its very strong sillage, the perfume is best applied sparingly, especially indoors.
Precise recommendations for applying it to skin and clothing are not available, so it is sensible to start with a single spray and assess the fragrance’s development after a few minutes.
The composition may last longer on fabric than on skin, so applying it to clothing requires even greater caution.
James Nguyen / Miju worked on Tambae. His signature approach is evident in the combination of unusual materials and contrasting textures: a tea accord, smoke, paper, oud and tobacco.
As a result, the fragrance comes across not as a simple woody composition, but as a complete image with a distinct visual atmosphere.
Tambae reflects KST Scent’s pursuit of a niche, distinctive style.
It is suitable for evenings out, special occasions and situations when you want a fragrance with a recognizable presence rather than a universal background trail.
As a direction for further exploration, consider Ajmal Tempest.
The Spirit of Dubai Durra and MGO Duftmanufaktur Outback are also interesting options for comparison — both are fragrances with a rich, dark and pronounced character.
Tambae stands out, however, for its combination of smoke, paper and ginseng tea, which gives it a distinctive dry and intellectual tone.
The fragrance is very long-lasting, staying on the skin for 12 hours or more, gradually revealing its notes
The scent will linger in the air even after its wearer has left.
The perfume has a rich aroma that will help you stand out from the crowd and create a memorable image
A rich and elegant fragrance that gently unfolds on the skin and lasts most of the day, leaving a delicate trail
Perfumes for the fall and winter seasons often contain notes of vanilla, spices, ambergris, wood, and other warm accords, creating a feeling of comfort and warmth during the cold months
The composition opens with smoke and ginseng tea. The opening is dry, astringent and slightly mineral, creating a striking first impression.
Oud and paper emerge at the heart: the woody accord lends depth to the fragrance, while the paper note adds a clean, dry and slightly abstract facet.
Amber and tobacco unfold in the base, creating a warm, rich and long-lasting finish.
