Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Oud Mood evolves as a living composition, where accents shift without rush and without gaps. The creative approach of Lattafa Perfumes is evident from the opening to the final trail. Every decision feels deliberate, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum supports the depth and body this composition needs.

At the note-group layer the composition is built around Ambery, Floral, Balsamic and Wood. The framework further includes Musk and Gourmet. Within olfactory families the scent maps to East.

Without strict stage separation the fragrance opens as a single chord with a voluminous amber mood: Ambergris, Floral Notes, Mastic resin, Woody Accord and musk.

The heart and base are read as a gradual shift without abrupt breaks, which gives the structure continuity.

The accord profile is driven by these accords: Balsamic, Floral, Musc and Wood without random overlap. Secondary accord layers such as Amber enrich the profile without taking over. The profile is unisex, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

This fragrance is clearly for women, men better steer clear. Its sweetness is surprising, and the floral note is somehow strange (haven't encountered such fruits), maybe it's mastic wood. It reminds me of something from the Mancera or Montale collection, but I can't say for sure. If you spray it a couple of times, it'll definitely attract attention. Overall, it's not bad, a solid four, but too sweet for me. The bottle is heavy and high-quality, the cap is metal 🔍

The fragrance I bought still puzzles me. I saw it on an acquaintance and it really caught my attention. The sillage is truly impressive, multifaceted: it has oud, something resinous, and sweet floral notes. But on me, it unfolds completely differently-I only smell rubber, and people around me say it reminds them of a sawmill. Kinda strange, isn't it
