Fragrance information:

Eau des Sens Louis Feraud, that first saw the light of day in 2010, is officially considered a feminine fragrance, belonging to the fruit and floral families. Offered in eau de parfum concentration.

The sillage is delicate — an intimate cloud that stays close to the skin. Longevity is moderate — not too much, not too little, just right. Country of origin — France: no wonder the fragrance turned out this refined. Eau des Sens Louis Feraud unfolds gradually, effortlessly, and with great refinement — a perfect choice for day or evening.

Description of the composition

The composition of Eau des Sens is shaped as a cohesive olfactory arc, where notes flow with precision and warmth. The style of Louis Feraud is clear in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Nothing here feels random, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de parfum supports the depth and body this composition needs.

From the group perspective the structure relies on Citrus, Fruit, Spicy and Floral. The palette also extends to Wood and Whiteflower. At family level the scent maps to Floral and Fruit.

In the first seconds you sense sparkling citrus opening notes: Bergamot, Blackcurrant and Pink pepper.

When the opening settles you notice Lotus and Peony keeping a velvety rose-iris direction.

The accord profile is driven by these accords: Citrus, Floral, Fruit and Wood without random overlap. Additional accords such as Spicy enrich the profile without taking over. The profile is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. In wear duration Middle points to a sustained drydown presence.

Overall Eau des Sens holds a coherent structure — the start forms character, the central phase adds depth, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the fragrances best judged in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Caramel with blackcurrant and some kind of fizzy filling. It seems tasty, but in reality, it's just a bright but empty scent. Similar to all those Amethysts and Midnight Roses that have become tiresome. Nothing new, nothing interesting

To me, this fragrance is all about a striking middle-aged woman. She's ethereal, a little pensive, but she has a whole world of her own inside. And her life is probably far from simple, because a person's choice of perfume usually says a lot about them. The composition seems straightforward, but it doesn't unfold in a flat way at all. It has character, lightness, and lively sparkling notes that keep everything perfectly balanced. Over time, the scent doesn't become boring or lose its appeal. You want to keep smelling it again and again

The scent isn't bad, but I can't say it impressed me. Not a masterpiece, but not a total flop either. Longevity leaves much to be desired, and it's hard to tell if that's good or bad. I read a bunch of positive reviews, and now I'm wondering if maybe I got the wrong batch…
