Description of the composition

The scent of Baryshnikov is built as a continuous scent journey, where notes flow without rush and without gaps. The creative approach of Mikhail Baryshnikov is recognizable in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. No excess details, only what works, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de toilette supports the right density and pace of development.

At the note-group layer the profile is anchored in Citrus, Green, Aromatic and Ambery. The framework further includes Musk and Wood. At family level the fragrance belongs to Fern.

As soon as the fragrance opens you detect sparkling citrus top note: Bergamot. This single 1 note builds a burst of citrus freshness that gives the fragrance a clear opening statement.

At the core of development you sense Lavender and Mint keeping a cool herbal direction. In what remains on skin the line is anchored through Ambergris and musk, shaping a dense amber trail.

The gender direction is masculine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

In summary Baryshnikov holds a coherent structure — the opening sets direction, the central phase adds depth, and the base secures the trail. This is the type of composition best understood on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.
Sillage
Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

A wonderful, slightly bitter green fougère! Even though it evokes nostalgia and feels a bit dated, I wouldn't miss the chance to try it if I ever came across it. You don't find scents like this very often!!!
