Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of 1856 unfolds as a continuous scent journey, where notes flow with precision and warmth. The creative approach of Orvis comes through in details that define the fragrance identity. Nothing here feels random, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail.

The internal accord map is driven by these accords: Citrus, Wood and Leather with each one in a clear role. The gender direction is masculine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

Without strict stage separation the opening appears as one connected movement with a glittering citrus mood: Bergamot, Leather accord, Mandarin and Sandalwood. Here 4 notes act as one voice, forming a burst of citrus freshness that keeps the opening compact and balanced.
