History and character

Paolo Gigli Fuoco is a true burst of passion in Italian style.

Launched in 2009 by the Paolo Gigli perfume house, it immediately captured the attention of lovers of rich, sensual compositions.

This is an eau de parfum with a very strong sillage—you definitely will not go unnoticed!

The fragrance belongs to the floral family, yet its character goes far beyond an ordinary floral bouquet. It is daring, sweet, and deep all at once.

From the very first seconds, Fuoco makes a bold, confident statement—just as a women's fragrance with an Italian temperament should.

How the fragrance unfolds

Fuoco is a multifaceted story that begins with sparkling citrus notes and juicy apple before moving into a spicy floral heart.

In the base, warm woody-sweet accords await, lingering on the skin for hours.

Thanks to its very strong sillage, the fragrance seems to envelop you in a cloud, and everyone nearby will sense its magic.

It is the perfect choice for evening outings, romantic dates, or days when you want to add a little fire to your look.

Who it is for and how to wear it

This perfume is made for women who are not afraid to be the center of attention. Fuoco is especially beautiful in cooler weather—its richness and warmth are a perfect match for autumn and winter.

Apply it to your wrists and neck 15–20 minutes before going out to allow the fragrance to unfold. Do not be afraid to use several sprays—its intensity and longevity let it shine brightly for a long time.

Description of the composition

The fragrance pyramid of Paolo Gigli Fuoco is built on a vivid contrast. The top notes—juicy apple, sparkling bergamot, and spicy lavender—create an energetic opening.

At the heart, a floral-spicy bouquet unfolds: cyclamen, geranium, pink pepper, delicate rose, and aromatic rosemary.

The base is warm and sensual: amber, sweet honey, creamy sandalwood, vanilla, smoky vetiver, and refined white cedar. This combination creates a rich, long-lasting composition.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Rose is that note I always pick out, but here it all feels so seamless. I'm like, 'oh, here's the burgundy beauty,' and then poof - it's gone. The scent is just gorgeous, so feminine, you feel a hundred percent in it

This perfume seemed kind of oriental to me, like from Japan, but not in the best way. The scent, sure, it's there, but it's too muddled, like someone tried to create a beautiful ikebana but couldn't. In my opinion, there are too many ingredients for such a minimalistic style. Everything sounds kind of crumpled, and I don't see the point in singling anything out. I don't even want to dissect this fragrance, it just doesn't spark any interest. It lasts, yeah, pretty well, until evening, but by evening, only some warm honeyed patchouli remains on the skin, which isn't great either. At first, by the way, it smells floral-spicy, but that doesn't save the situation 😒

The scent is simply amazing, it's full of richness and abundance. I can't say it's exclusively feminine, I think this perfume would be great for an unusual man too, both in appearance and inner world. In it, I caught notes of pineapple, rose, and cardamom, and the other components are so harmoniously intertwined that it's hard to distinguish them separately. It's true luxury, but not vulgar, rather modern and stylish ✨
