Description of the composition

The scent of Mātangi evolves as an expressive line of development, where accents shift without rush and without gaps. The style of Parfums Karmic Hues is clear in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. No excess details, only what works, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Perfume extract sets the depth and body this composition needs.

When the structure is mixed the fragrance opens as a single chord with a voluminous floral mood: Ambergris, Geranium, Ginger, Hyssop, Iris, Jasmine and Lavender.

The deeper layers are read as a smooth transition from opening to trail, which preserves the scent identity through drydown.

The accord profile is shaped by these accords: Aromatic, Citrus, Floral and Wood without random overlap. Secondary accord layers such as Powdery, Amber and Spicy add depth to the backdrop.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Ambery, Floral, Spicy and Green. It also reaches into Whiteflower, Citrus, Gourmet and Wood.

Taken together Mātangi sounds complete from start to finish — the start forms character, the central phase adds depth, while the drydown anchors the memory. This is the type of composition best understood in wear.
