Perfume information

Description of the composition

The scent of Fava Tonka is built as a cohesive olfactory arc, where accents shift without rush and without gaps. The style of Phebo is recognizable from the opening to the final trail. Nothing here feels random, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de parfum sets a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Citrus, Green, Floral and Balsamic. It also reaches into Spicy, Wood, Musk and Gourmet. From a family perspective the fragrance belongs to East.

In the top tier you detect invigorating sunny first notes: Bergamot, Black currant leaf and Lime.

In the middle phase you meet Clove, Resins and Tonka bean carrying a harmonious floral direction.

The olfactory framework rests on these accords: Balsamic, Citrus, Gourmet and Floral with each one in a clear role. Additional accords such as Musc and Wood expand the olfactory volume in the background. The profile is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

Overall Fava Tonka holds a coherent structure — the opening sets direction, the heart develops the core line, and the base secures the trail. These are the fragrances best experienced on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The clove just screams with its brightness, it's so intense, even with a hint of smoke and bitterness, plus that resin. The opening and heart of the fragrance are decent, but then the drydown. On my skin after all that magnificence, some kind of messy nonsense remains, totally unclear. I'm feeling this is a letdown
