Identite for Men by Rene Lezard

Rene Lezard Identite for Men is a men's eau de toilette released in 2003.

The fragrance belongs to the oriental woody families and features a very strong sillage—a true compliment magnet.

German precision with French chic

Behind the exquisitely Parisian-sounding name Rene Lezard lie the German meticulousness and entrepreneurial spirit of Thomas Schäfer.

Founded in 1978 with menswear, the brand has always pursued impeccable elegance. Identite for Men is a vivid embodiment of this philosophy: refined, charismatic, and incredibly long-lasting.

Notes and development

The fragrance pyramid is built on contrasts. A fresh opening of basil, mint, juniper, and thyme sets an invigorating tone.

In the heart, juicy grapefruit and lime intertwine with resinous cedar and subtly sweet fig, while a base of sandalwood, vetiver, vanilla, tonka bean, and licorice creates a warm, sensual trail.

Who it suits

This is a fragrance for the confident man who appreciates classics but is not afraid of bold accents.

Thanks to its powerful sillage, Identite for Men is ideal for the cooler months, evening occasions, and special events.

It has a distinguished, noble character, leaving behind a memorable trail.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The scent, of course, is warm, but its sweetness somehow feels heavy, there's too much spice, and the harshness is just irritating. At first, it seems sharp, but then, when it reaches the base, it becomes a little deeper. Overall, it gives off the vibe of a regular men's perfume, but nothing more than that 😒
