Nuit à Marrakech Rituals arrived in 2015 — and it was immediately clear this one was here to stay. By character, a feminine fragrance drawing from the east and floral families. The fragrance was crafted by perfumer Catherine Selig. Created within the Oriental Essences collection and available in eau de parfum.

The sillage is extremely noticeable — noticeable, but never overwhelming. The birthplace of this fragrance — the Netherlands, a place with a refined nose. Nuit à Marrakech Rituals unfolds gradually, effortlessly, and with great refinement — a perfect choice for day or evening.

Description of the composition

The scent of Nuit à Marrakech unfolds as a continuous scent journey, where accents shift without rush and without gaps. The creative approach of Rituals is recognizable from the opening to the final trail. Nothing here feels random, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de parfum supports the right density and pace of development.

In the top tier you detect spicy-amber first notes: Ambergris, Citrus accord and Green Tea.

In the middle phase you notice Cashmeran, Frangipani, Mimosa and Saffron carrying a harmonious floral direction.

The olfactory framework is built around these accords: Citrus, Floral, Musc and Wood with each one in a clear role. Background accords such as Amber and Spicy expand the olfactory volume in the background. The stylistic positioning is feminine, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

At the note-group layer the profile is anchored in Ambery, Citrus, Drinks and Musk. It also reaches into Floral, Spicy, Wood and Gourmet.

Taken together Nuit à Marrakech holds a coherent structure — the first stage creates momentum, the middle layer carries the identity, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. This is the type of composition best judged in wear.

The scent disappointed me a little. It's woody-powdery with a light spicy note. On my skin, unfortunately, it turned sour and some saltiness appeared. Honestly, I don't know what to think 😕
