History and Creation

Rothenstein Deja Vu Rodin is an embodiment of timeless romance, launched by the legendary German house Rothenstein in the distant year of 1886.

Its creation was entrusted to one of the most respected perfumers of our time, Anne Flipo.

This women's fragrance is presented in an eau de parfum concentration, ensuring a rich and deep scent experience.

Fragrance Notes and Development

Deja Vu Rodin is built around a refined floral accord of lilac, enveloped in soft musk and warm ambergris.

Fresh bergamot lends the fragrance a sparkling opening, creating a contrast with its sensual base.

The perfume belongs to the floral family, yet its amber and musky nuances give it an oriental character.

Character and Wearability

This fragrance has a very strong sillage that will not go unnoticed. It unfolds best in cooler weather and is ideal for evening occasions.

The perfume evokes a sense of déjà vu, as though you had already breathed in this intoxicating bouquet in a past life. Rothenstein Deja Vu Rodin is an olfactory kiss suspended in time.

Description of the composition

Rothenstein Deja Vu Rodin is built around a harmonious blend of four key notes: sparkling bergamot creates a fresh opening, while delicate lilac lends the composition a romantic floral touch.

Warm ambergris and sensual musk create a deep, enveloping trail. Thanks to this combination, the fragrance unfolds richly and in layers, while remaining elegant and feminine.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

These figurines are cute, of course, but I just don't have enough space for them on my perfume shelf. I was looking for something suitable, but, alas, found nothing. This one, for example, is just terribly heavy!! It feels like you could hang it around your neck. Its warmth doesn't embrace, it rather suffocates, like you're trapped. Though, maybe it would suit ladies with an autumn appearance type, but I definitely don't like it

I smell bergamot and lilac, with a fruity base underneath them. This lilac reminds me of a certain Yves Rocher perfume, but here it smells much softer 🤔 Overall, for spring or summer, the fragrance is quite good, even if it's not luxury. But you can't call it generic either… It has something of its own, something special 🌸

At first glance, the description makes it sound like an oriental-floral fragrance. But in reality, it's not a fragrance at all, just some nasty stink! I have one too, and I confess, I only bought it because of the beautiful little bottle that I really liked 😅
