Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of La Duchesse evolves as a living composition, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The signature of Saint Morits comes through from the opening to the final trail. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction.

The accord architecture rests on these accords: Balsamic, Citrus, Gourmet and Floral with each one in a clear role. Secondary accord layers such as Musc enrich the profile without taking over. The stylistic positioning is feminine, which clarifies the composition character.

When the pyramid is blended into one block the opening appears as one connected movement with a romantic floral mood: Benzoin, Bergamot, Galbanum, Jasmine, Labdanum, Orange blossom and Tuberose.

The middle and base stages are read as a continuous motion from lift to depth, which preserves the scent identity through drydown.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Balsamic, Citrus, Green and Whiteflower. It also reaches into Musk and Floral.

Taken together La Duchesse holds a coherent structure — the first stage creates momentum, the heart develops the core line, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. This is the type of composition best judged in wear.
