Description of the composition

The composition of Éssential Rouge is built as a layered story, where accents shift without rush and without gaps. The style of Shirley May is recognizable in the way notes appear and fade. Every decision feels deliberate, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de toilette keeps the right density and pace of development.

In the top tier you sense fresh green opening notes: Lavender and Lemon. Exactly these 2 notes shape morning coolness sensation that anchors the first impression immediately.

In the central layer you detect Marine accord and Nagarmotha carrying a mineral-aquatic direction.

The accord profile is shaped by these accords: Aromatic, Citrus, Wood and Marine forming a compact and readable structure. Secondary accord layers such as Mineral expand the olfactory volume in the background.

At the note-group layer the composition is built around Green, Citrus, Aquatic and Wood. The palette also extends to Balsamic. Within olfactory families the composition sits in Fern.

Taken together Éssential Rouge sounds complete from start to finish — the opening sets direction, the central phase adds depth, and the base secures the trail. These are the scent structures best judged through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

The fragrance at the start is not red at all; rather, it resembles light blue or even transparent. Lemon slices, lavender, and green herbs clearly dominate its scent. Honestly, I can't figure out if I like it or not 🤔
