Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Virtue for Men is built as an expressive line of development, where notes flow without rush and without gaps. The style of Vivace is evident from the opening to the final trail. Every decision feels deliberate, and the structure feels complete all the way through.

At olfactory-group level the profile is anchored in Citrus, Balsamic, Floral and Spicy. The palette also extends to Wood.

In the first seconds you sense radiant lemon-bergamot first notes: Grapefruit, Lemon and Orange.

At the core of development you detect Benzoin, Neroli and Pink pepper holding a deep balsamic direction. In the final layer the line is anchored through Cedar, Patchouli and Vetiver, extending a warm vetiver trail.

The internal accord map rests on these accords: Citrus, Gourmet, Floral and Wood without random overlap. Background accords such as Spicy expand the olfactory volume in the background. The gender direction is masculine, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

In summary Virtue for Men holds a coherent structure — the first stage creates momentum, the middle layer carries the identity, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the scent structures best experienced through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Patchouli with citrus here is somewhat soft, and the woodiness isn't felt at all. Vetiver appears, but it's so cold and sharp that it's just irritating. It feels like I've rubbed soap on myself, I don't know why that's needed. Overall, the fragrance certainly has its quirks, but I can't say it's particularly interesting 😒
