Description of the composition

The composition of Tortuga is shaped as a cohesive olfactory arc, where layers reveal themselves without rush and without gaps. The creative approach of Yan Frolov is clear in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Nothing here feels random, and the structure feels complete all the way through.

The olfactory framework is built around these accords: Aromatic, Floral, Wood and Amber forming a compact and readable structure. Background accords such as Marine, Alcoholic and Mineral expand the olfactory volume in the background. The profile is unisex, which clarifies the composition character.

When the structure is mixed the notes arrive together with a noble cedar mood: Amber, Birch, Cognac, Grey Ambergris, Guaiac wood, Jasmine and Kelp.

The middle and base stages are read as a gradual shift without abrupt breaks, which preserves the scent identity through drydown.
