Brand «Aura-Soma»

0 reviews

In the world of niche perfumery, where every brand seeks its voice, Aura-Soma sounds completely unique. It is not just a fragrance brand, but an entire philosophical system born in 1983 in the UK from the vision of pharmacist and healer Vicky Wall. Based on a synthesis of ancient alchemy, color theory, bioenergetics, and the vibrations of nature, this project aims not just to scent the space, but to harmonize the inner world of a person. Since 1991, Vicky Wall's mission has been continued by her student Mike Booth, turning Aura-Soma into an international phenomenon with an academy in Thetford and consultants worldwide.

Philosophy of Color and Two Phases

The DNA of Aura-Soma is the belief in the healing power of color and plants. The brand claims that its products are created to "increase and protect the aura" of a person. The most recognizable feature of its perfumery is the format of two-phase oils in bottles. These layers symbolize the duality of human psyche: the upper, lighter one represents the conscious "Self", and the lower, denser one represents the unconscious. Before use, the bottle must be shaken, creating a temporary emulsion, which turns each session into a ritual of uniting opposites.

All products, from perfumes to colored bath essences, are positioned as completely natural, created from organic and biodynamic components. This makes the brand particularly attractive to an audience that values mindfulness, spiritual practices, and a holistic approach to beauty and well-being.

Perfumery Embodiment of Ideas

To embody such a complex philosophy in scents requires special talent. This task is brilliantly performed by perfumer Anastasia Brozler. Her works for Aura-Soma are subtle, meditative compositions with an emphasis on floral and natural accords. She masterfully creates fragrances that do not dominate, but softly envelop, setting a specific emotional tone, whether it be relaxation, concentration, or spiritual uplift.

Iconic Aura-Soma Fragrances

Diving into the brand's universe logically starts with its bestsellers. These fragrances have become signatures, reflecting different facets of the philosophy of color and vibrations.

The most delicate 75 - Frangipani transports to a tropical paradise, while the mysterious 56 - Violet Powder smells of antique sachets and velvet. For lovers of depth and mystery, the meditative 30 - Oudh Incense is created, where resin meets wood.

The exquisite 44 - Florentina Iris is a hymn to the elegance of iris rhizome, and the mystical 80 - Datura captivates with narcotic-white flowers. Special attention deserves the award-winning at International Beauty Awards 39 - Liquid Elixir — a true liquid talisman of sandalwood and vetiver.

For moments of pure bliss, 11 - Pink Lotus, symbolizing spiritual awakening, and the fresh, aquatic 58 - Aquatic Flowers are created.

How to Use Aura-Soma Fragrances

Reviews from fans emphasize that the perfumes of this brand are a tool for personal practice. Their longevity is moderate, and the sillage is intimate and unobtrusive, which is perfect for contemplation and self-immersion. The oil base allows the fragrance to gently unfold on the skin, interacting with personal biochemistry. These compositions are rarely sought to "be heard"; they are chosen to "hear oneself". They are suitable for meditations, yoga, creating a personal space of comfort and harmony, and for those who seek something more than just a beautiful scent in perfumery.
