In 2024, a new bright landmark appeared on the world's perfume map – the brand Auraa Desire from the United Arab Emirates. Born in the heart of the Arabian desert, it announced itself from the very first days as a bold, passionate, and uncompromising phenomenon. The brand name speaks for itself: "desire of the aura" – the aspiration to surround oneself not just with a scent, but with real energy that attracts glances and leaves a mark in memory. The founders, inspired by the richness of Eastern traditions and the modern rhythm of megacities, decided to create fragrances that sound equally luxurious in bustling Dubai and in a cozy European living room.
Auraa Desire focuses exclusively on masculine fragrances in extrait concentration (parfum extrait). This is a conscious choice: a high concentration of aromatic oils (usually 20–40%) ensures maximum longevity, dense projection, and a deep sillage. Each bottle is a small piece of perfumery jewelry thought, where resins, oud, amber, leather, and spices dominate, but with unexpected modern accents. The brand is not afraid to experiment with notes: its arsenal includes both dark, smoky compositions and fresh, transparent aquatic chords, which are so unexpected for the classic Middle Eastern school.
Currently, the perfume house is developing two key collections: Spiral Treasure and Regal. The Spiral Treasure line is distinguished by a more playful and multifaceted sound, like a spiral unwinding from light citrus starts to heavy bases. And Regal is a triumph of royal dignity: here frankincense, cedar, opopanax, and rare varieties of oud reign. Each collection includes several fragrances that have already received enthusiastic responses from connoisseurs of niche perfumery worldwide.
Special attention deserves one of the first releases – Auraa Desire - Desert Dew. Its name – poetic "Desert Dew" – reflects the contrast between scorching sand and a drop of moisture. The composition is built on an unexpected combination of fresh bergamot, sea salt (as a symbol of morning moisture), and dense, velvety oud. This is the perfect fragrance for those seeking a balance between Eastern density and Western lightness.
Among the brand's bestsellers, it is certainly worth highlighting Auraa Desire - Smoked Oud – a true homage to Emirati traditions: woody frankincense, birch tar, and dark tobacco create the image of a man who remembers his roots but moves with the times. Equally popular is Auraa Desire - Glory Blaze: here fiery notes of saffron, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper flash on a satin pillow of amber and vanilla, leaving a feeling of warmth and confidence. And Auraa Desire - Purple Bliss lures with a mysterious purple sound: violet and iris intertwine with sandalwood and patchouli, creating a noble, slightly powdery trail.
The composition Auraa Desire - Forbidden is also intriguing – it plays on the contrast of sweet peach, smoky frankincense, and earthy vetiver, breaking all canons of a "typically masculine" fragrance. This is a real challenge to stereotypes, loved by women no less than men. A fresh sea breeze is felt in Auraa Desire - Ample Oceana – aquatic, transparent, but with a powerful base of grey amber and cedar, it is ideal for hot summer.
Despite its youth, Auraa Desire has already gathered a devoted audience. Buyers unanimously note the phenomenal longevity of the fragrances – many extraits last on the skin for more than 10–12 hours and remain on clothes even after washing. At the same time, the sillage is not aggressive: it is enveloping, expensive, without harsh synthetic notes. On specialized forums, the bottle design is often praised – heavy glass, metal inserts, magnetic caps – and the affordable price for an extrait. Although the brand has not yet received industry awards (its young age prevented this), critics already predict a place for it in the top of niche Middle Eastern brands.
Popularity, as often happens, has spawned a wave of counterfeits. To avoid disappointment, pay attention to the following details. First, all Auraa Desire bottles have an engraving on the bottom with a serial number (batch code) that can be verified on the official website or in checker apps. Second, build quality: the original cap rises smoothly, with a pleasant magnetic resistance, without play. Third, the box should be matte, with an embossed logo – no shiny prints. And finally, look at the pipette or sprayer: the original has a golden one with clear dimples, and the drops are large, not "misty".
The name Auraa Desire is not just a beautiful phrase. The word "Auraa" (from Latin aura – breeze) combined with "Desire" emphasizes the idea: the fragrance becomes an extension of your aura, an expression of your innermost aspirations. Another highlight: the brand actively uses in its compositions the "black iris" complex – iris absolute from Florence, aged in wooden barrels, which gives the scents a velvety, almost powdery accent. And perhaps the main fact: in its first year of existence, Auraa Desire released more than ten long-lasting, carefully crafted compositions – for a niche house, this is an incredibly high pace, which speaks of serious ambitions and love for its craft.
