The Mario Valentino brand was founded in 1952 in Naples by Mr. Mario Valentino. The company produces leather goods, footwear, accessories, and women's clothing. The first shoes under the «Valentino» trademark were created by Mario's father, Vincenzo Valentino, who was considered the best shoe manufacturer in the world; even King Vittorio Emanuele purchased his shoes. Mario invented the famous coral sandals in 1954 while helping his father at the factory. This invention caused a real sensation in the family business. A few years later, the company entered the world of fashion, with collections made primarily of leather, distinguished by extraordinary cut lines.

In the 1980s, Mario Valentino led the Asian markets, with its products sold in the most exclusive boutiques in the United States, Europe, and Japan. Over its existence, the Mario Valentino brand has received many awards. The brand's headquarters remain in Naples, and the Mario Valentino flagship store is located on the most elegant street in the city. The prestigious showroom in Milan, in close proximity to Via Montenapoleone, remains the company's most representative venue.
