The Lisa Kirk brand is a new trademark in the perfume market. Lisa Kirk was a law student at the University of Pittsburgh, then joined a choir in Versailles, and later sang at a famous nightclub in New York.
In 1947, she made her Broadway debut as Emily in Allegro, then played Lois Lane and Bianca in Kiss Me Kate, Cole Porter's musical adaptation of Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew". Collecting interviews from anonymous journalists, political radicals, and activists, Lisa Kirk developed an original, outrageous fragrance composition based on their olfactory memories of revolution. She created an unusual scent that recreates the smell of smoke, gasoline, tear gas, and burnt rubber.
To revive this scene, the fragrance author used notes of birch tar, musk, leather, vetiver, and spices. The fragrance was created in collaboration with Jelena Behrend and produced by PARTICIPANT INC. The bottle design features a print depicting the configuration of homemade bombs.
