Identity and History of Vanille Extrême

Dive into a sweet journey with Vanille Extrême, a delightful feminine fragrance released in 2005.

This gourmet masterpiece is created by the French house Comptoir Sud Pacifique, founded in 1974 and known for its perfume journeys and seductive compositions.

Vanille Extrême is part of the Eaux de Voyage collection, which embodies the spirit of adventure and exoticism, offering scents that transport you to tropical paradises.

Fragrance Pyramid and Development

The vanilla symphony of this perfume begins with a playful start, where heliotrope, sugar, and vanilla intertwine, creating an airy and sunny impression.

As it develops, the composition transitions into a gentle heart with accents of milk and vanilla, and in the base, it is anchored by warm and cozy notes of milk and vanilla.

Read more about how this sweet ode unfolds in the composition description below.

Positioning and Application Practice

Vanille Extrême is positioned as a feminine fragrance in the form of eau de toilette, making it ideal for daily use and creating a light yet memorable image.

For optimal effect, apply 2 to 3 sprays on the skin so the fragrance harmoniously develops with your natural warmth, and 3 to 4 sprays on clothing for a more lasting trail.

The Oriental and Gourmand families highlight its warm and seductive character, making it an excellent choice for cool evenings or cozy gatherings.

Authorship and Influence

The creator of this vanilla fantasy is the talented perfumer Jacques Lions, whose experience in creating gourmand fragrances helped bring the brand's concept to life.

Vanille Extrême reflects the DNA of Comptoir Sud Pacifique, enhancing its reputation as a master of sweet and exotic compositions that bring joy and comfort.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth

All interpretations of vanilla from this wonderful brand, for me, boil down to one thing - pure vanilla. The opening of the fragrance delights with an incredible milky sweetness, with woody notes, but after just a few minutes, only a delicate vanilla remains on the skin

Today in the corridor at work, I caught a whiff of a smell reminiscent of a dessert with vanilla and whipped cream. At first, I thought someone was celebrating, but it turned out to be perfume. When I smelled it from the bottle, it didn't seem as sweet as I expected. Vanilla was definitely prominent, but alongside it, there was some tart note, giving the fragrance a certain maturity and elegance 🌟

The vanilla here is just awful, like it's from some old pastry chef's cupboard. If you like to reek like you just came out of a bakery, then this is for you. But it's not for me, totally not my thing

The vanilla scent is quite straightforward. What I expected from the pyramid, I ultimately got. A sweet, milky, vanilla smell, with added crystalline sugar. The formula is simple, but the result smells quite interesting

You can smell almost all the listed notes in this fragrance. Vanilla, sugar, and milk really stand out. It's so soft, fluffy, and enveloping, it just won't let you go. This brand clearly nails creating scents in this style, and that's awesome! 🌟

The vanilla scent, it's so delicate, milky, yet at the same time it leaves a feeling of emptiness. Delicious, yes, but it feels like something is missing. The softness of its aroma evokes sadness, as if reminding of something lost
