GAP launched Close in 2009 — and it was a brilliant move. A feminine fragrance belonging to the wood and musk families. Inspiration and execution — all of it is Marypierre Julien. Available as eau de toilette.

Description of the composition

The composition of Close is shaped as a layered story, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The signature of GAP comes through in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de toilette emphasizes the depth and body this composition needs.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Floral, Mineral, Citrus and Whiteflower. The palette also extends to Ambery, Wood, Gourmet and Musk. At family level the scent maps to Musk and Wood.

In the top tier you catch salty-airy first notes: Almond Blossom, Aquatic accord, Citrus accord and Salt.

When the opening settles you notice Freesia, Heliotrope and Jasmine holding a harmonious floral direction.

The olfactory framework is built around these accords: Floral, Musc, Wood and Spicy forming a compact and readable structure. Additional accords such as Mineral expand the olfactory volume in the background. The gender direction is feminine, which makes the scent profile easier to read.
