Blais Motain is not just a perfumer, but a true creator of aromatic worlds, whose name has become synonymous with French perfumery elegance and uncompromising quality. Born on September 10, 1968, this master perfumer grew up in an atmosphere of refined Parisian luxury, as his family owned the famous children's toy store Au Nain Bleu. It was there, surrounded by the scents of antique wood and luxurious packaging, that young Blais developed a passion for fragrances and a dream of creating his own unique scents.

The path from dream to mastery

Mottein realized his calling by enrolling in the prestigious Grasse Institute of Perfumery. After graduating in 1999, he began his career at BMPP, where he quickly demonstrated his talent for creating interior fragrances. His first major works—perfumed compositions for legendary hotels such as Le Bristol Paris and Park Hyatt Paris Vendome—immediately demonstrated the master's ability to capture the spirit of a place and transform it into an exquisite olfactory story.

Collaborations and signature style

Motain's expertise did not go unnoticed in the fashion world. In 2010, he created his first perfume for the brand — the fresh and invigorating Visvim - Alaska — opening a new chapter in the collaboration between perfumery and high fashion. His unique style, built on a deep understanding of raw materials and a love of pure, expressive accords, came into its own in 2019 with the launch of his own brand, Blaise Mautin Parfumeur.

The philosophy of monoaromas and the best creations

The brand's philosophy is simple and ingenious: a return to the essence of perfumery through monoaromas. Mautin offers not complex, multi-layered compositions, but powerful, honest dialogues with one key ingredient. That is why every note in his collection sounds so bright and convincing. Fans and critics especially highlight the sensual and noble Cuir, the earthy and elegant Vetyver, and the mysterious and intense Aoud. Equally popular are the sunny Ambre, the cozy Malt, and the delicate Musc Blanc.

Floral symphony and heritage

His floral interpretations deserve special admiration. Fleur D'oranger, Neroli, and the romantic Rose de Dhandhou evoke the feeling of a blooming garden, while Lavande and Muguet transport you to the landscapes of Provence. Today, Blaise Mouton, who continues to head BMPP, remains true to his path—creating perfumes that speak the pure language of emotions and become objects of adoration for true connoisseurs of the art of fragrance around the world.
