How to change fragrances by seasons: a guide to weather and temperature

Christian Louis is a perfumer whose story resembles an exquisite fragrance: it evokes both classic French roots and the spirit of travel. Born in Versailles, he was immersed in an atmosphere of elegance from a young age, which was later reflected in his refined style. He began his career as a "nose" overseas, honing his skills at the legendary Elisabeth Arden company. This international experience gave him not only invaluable knowledge, but also the courage to engage in bold creative experiments, which later became his trademark.
Upon returning to France, Christian Louis started a real perfume revolution in 1996 by founding the Parfums et Senteurs du Pays Basque brand. His brilliant idea was to transform emotions, art, and stories into fragrances. This is how perfumes inspired by music, such as Mozart VIP, painting, or dedicated to outstanding personalities, from Carla Bruni VIP to the Dalai Lama, were born. Today, the brand's collection includes more than a hundred compositions, and the sunny Un Jour a Biarritz, the delicate Iris Basque, and the sensual Arantxa are truly loved by the community.
In addition to the success of his own house, Christian Louis is a sought-after creator for other brands. His talent has created fragrances for niche brands such as the mysterious Slumberhouse and the exquisite Novae Plus, for which he created the sparkling Trevi Fountain. He has also worked with The Sage Lifestyle, giving the world the juicy Garnet Eau de Toilette, and with the Skeem brand. This variety of projects demonstrates the incredible flexibility of his talent, from deep oriental accords to light, transparent compositions.
In 2013, the perfumer presented a more personal project to the world—the Christian Louis Maître Parfumeur Paris brand. The debut collection, although small, made a real statement of style. It included two contrasting takes on a single theme: the bright and spicy Florida and its mysterious, floral evening version, Florida by Night. These fragrances reveal another facet of the master's skill—his ability to play with contrasts, creating complex, emotional, and memorable stories.
Christian Louis can rightly be called a perfumer-storyteller. His main contribution to the industry is proof that perfume can be more than just a pleasant scent, but a true work of art with a concept and character. He boldly combines the seemingly incompatible: Basque landscapes with Parisian elegance, chocolate accords in Chocolate with noble cedar in Cedre de Liban. His legacy is hundreds of fragrances-stories, each of which invites you on a unique journey for the senses, making him one of the most interesting and diverse creators of contemporary perfumery.
