Nadej Le Garlandesque is a name that today ranks among the most sought-after contemporary perfumers. Her career at Givaudan, where she holds the position of junior perfumer, is a story of talent backed by a solid education. First came chemistry, which gave her a deep understanding of substances, and then the legendary ISIPCA school, a breeding ground for perfumers. But the real school of life for her was the mentorship of master Antoine Maisondieu at Givaudan, where she officially joined in 2010.
Her first steps were bold and immediately attracted attention. Her debut works were the niche fragrances Six Scents - No. 6 Un Beaute Accidentelle and Eutopie - No. 6. Soon, projects for Oriflame were added, and then her first foray into the world of high perfumery with Boucheron. The turning point came in 2015, when she created two iconic compositions for the philosophical brand Les Liquides Imaginaires: the earthy Tellus and the juicy fruity chypre Ile Pourpre. These works demonstrated her ability to translate complex artistic concepts into recognizable and beautiful fragrances.
Nadej Le Garlandesque's style is a delicate balance between modern purity and sensual depth. She masterfully works with white musk accords, creating a "clean skin" effect, which was vividly demonstrated in her hit for Narciso Rodriguez — the delicate Narciso Rouge Eau de Toilette. Her signature style is recognizable in juicy, almost edible accords, such as in the daring Devil Tender for Ex Nihilo, and in transparent floral bouquets, such as in Coach Floral. A special place in her portfolio is occupied by sunny, naturalistic compositions for L'Occitane en Provence, such as Herbae and Terre de Lumiere.
The list of brands that have entrusted Nadej with the creation of their fragrances is impressive. In addition to those already mentioned, she has successfully collaborated with Rochas, participating in the creation of the updated Mademoiselle Rochas Eau de Toilette, as well as with Cerruti and Carven. However, the most high-profile and commercially successful project in her career was the creation of the fragrance Idôle for the legendary house of Lancôme. This work, carried out in tandem with colleagues, became a modern hymn to femininity and spawned a whole family of flankers: the intense Idôle L'Intense and the vanilla Idôle Aura.
Nadej Le Garlandetzek belongs to a new generation of "noses" who feel equally at home in niche and luxury perfumery. Her fragrances regularly top user ratings and become the subject of heated discussion in the community. Her ability to create perfumes that are both artistic statements and resonate with millions is her main contribution to the industry. Today, her career continues to develop rapidly, and fans eagerly await her new works, knowing that each one offers a fresh perspective on contemporary perfumery.
