Sileno Cheloni is one of the most vibrant and inspiring figures in the world of contemporary niche perfumery. His journey into the world of scents began not in a laboratory, but through travel and art: while studying photography and design, he developed a keen sense of beauty. A meeting with an artisan perfumer in Cyprus proved decisive, revealing to him the magic of blending essences. Returning to Italy, Cheloni created his first fragrance, marking the beginning of a career full of artistic exploration.
Sileno Cheloni's style is a synthesis of Italian sensuality and Mediterranean vibrancy. His fragrances are often built on contrasts, where airy floral accords meet deep woody or spicy notes. The master sees perfumery as an art form similar to painting or music, where each note is a brushstroke. This philosophy makes his fragrances emotional, complex, and surprisingly memorable.
Cheloni's talent was quickly recognized by leading niche brands. He became the author of iconic compositions for the Florentine legend AquaFlor Firenze, created exquisite fragrances for the Orobianco Parfum Collection, and dramatic perfumes for Teatro Fragranze Uniche. He is also the creator of the elegant Mariella Martinato perfumes, as well as fragrances for A La Russe. These collaborations have cemented his reputation as a virtuoso and versatile master.
Among the perfumer's iconic creations, the juicy citrus Zagaria and the delicate floral Rosae for AquaFlor are particularly loved by the community. Equally popular are the sensual Black Divine, the exotic Lalibela, and the contrasting duo White and Black for Mariella Martinato. Each of these perfumes reveals a facet of his talent and invariably receives high praise from connoisseurs.
The crowning achievement of the maestro's career was the opening of his own salon-laboratory, Sileno Cheloni Firenze Maestro Profumiere, in the heart of Florence in 2018. This is a place where the art of perfumery becomes deeply personal. Here, Cheloni creates exclusive custom fragrances, guiding the client through the fascinating process of selecting notes, much like an artist painting a portrait. This is also where his original compositions live — from the spicy Satanel to the heavenly Firmamento — embodying all the passion and skill of their creator.
