Fragrance information:

2016: the world took its first breath of Eau d'Ipanema A Lab on Fire. A unisex fragrance from the fruit, floral, and gourmet families. Perfumer Jean-Marc Chaillan is the author behind this composition. The fragrance belongs to the spicy, musk, and fruit groups. The palette of this fragrance is exceptionally rich: traces of floral, gourmet, citrus, and whiteflower can also be found — a rare combination that makes this perfume truly one of a kind. Concentration — eau de parfum: exactly what it needs to be.

Expect a moderate sillage — enough to be remembered, not enough to overwhelm. It stays on the skin for a good while — longevity is firmly in the moderate range. Brand country — the United States. Eau d'Ipanema A Lab on Fire unfolds gradually, effortlessly, and with great refinement — a perfect choice for day or evening.

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Eau d'Ipanema is shaped as a layered story, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The style of A Lab on Fire is recognizable in details that define the fragrance identity. Nothing here feels random, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de parfum sets a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

The profile is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read. In wear duration Middle points to a sustained drydown presence. In projection Middle defines the projection profile in space.

In the first seconds you detect vibrant berry opening notes: Bergamot, Mango, Pineapple and Pink pepper.

At the core of development you detect Aquatic accord, Freesia, Jasmine, Neroli and Orange blossom carrying a harmonious floral direction.

At olfactory-group level the structure relies on Citrus, Floral, Fruit and Gourmet. It also reaches into Musk, Spicy, Whiteflower and Mineral. Within olfactory families the fragrance belongs to Floral, Fruit and Gourmet.

Taken together Eau d'Ipanema holds a coherent structure — the start forms character, the central phase adds depth, and the base secures the trail. These are the fragrances best experienced through real development.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Oh, how lucky I am! This fragrance didn't leave any plastic traces on my skin. I adore fruity notes, especially when they're combined with flowers and vanilla. Mango and pineapple are perfectly noticeable! I didn't detect any obvious marine accord, and that's just super!!! True tropics in a bottle

The opening is simply explosive - fresh, juicy pieces of pineapple and mango that literally drip with juice. And then a real feast begins: a variety of tropical fruits, juices and cocktails flowing like a river, and exotic flowers simply drive you crazy. It's a vibrant fruity-floral extravaganza. Sometimes I'd like to indulge in such pleasure, but there's one persistent note that reminds me either of plastic or wax, and because of this, the fragrance becomes unbearable for me. It's like juicy fruits wrapped in plastic film. Such a shame. At the beginning, such incredible juiciness, almost to the point of madness! So, it's definitely necessary to test it on the skin, and preferably in different seasons. They say it unfolds simply magnificently in winter. I'll try to postpone my encounter with it until the cold weather! 🍍
