Jean-Marc Chayen is the senior perfumer at International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF), whose name has become synonymous with success in the world of fragrances. Born and raised in Grasse, the perfume capital of the world, he inherited his love of creativity from his father, Raymond Chayeh, co-creator of the iconic Yves Saint Laurent Opium and Cacharel Anais Anais fragrances. This family tradition laid the foundation for his outstanding career.

After graduating from the prestigious ISIPCA perfume school, Jean-Marc began his career at the Brazilian branch of IFF, where he honed his skills as a junior perfumer. In 1997, he moved with his family to New York, where he continues to create fragrances that captivate millions.

Career and iconic works

Chayane's debut projects were fragrances for Hugo Boss and Liz Claiborne. However, his real breakthrough came with the release of his first bestsellers: the sensual Calvin Klein - Euphoria Men and the daring Calvin Klein - Crave. These compositions for Calvin Klein cemented his reputation as a master capable of creating commercially successful and recognizable perfumes.

The perfumer's portfolio includes dozens of fragrances for leading fashion houses and cosmetics giants. Among his iconic creations are the elegant Burberry - London For Women, the exquisite Tom Ford - Tom Ford for Men, and the delicate Dolce & Gabbana - Dolce Floral Drops. He is also the author of classics for Estée Lauder and Elizabeth Arden, such as Estée Lauder - Private Collection Jasmin White Moss and Elizabeth Arden - Provocative Woman.

Fragrances for celebrities and niche projects

Jean-Marc Chaillan masterfully embodies the personalities of celebrities in his fragrances. He created the captivating Taylor Swift - Wonderstruck Enchanted for Taylor Swift and an entire collection of perfumes for Jennifer Aniston, including the fresh Jennifer Aniston - J By, the relaxed Jennifer Aniston - Beachscape, and the mysterious Jennifer Aniston - Near Dusk.

The perfumer does not limit himself to the mass market, happily experimenting with niche brands. For A Lab on Fire, he created the exotic A Lab on Fire - One Night In Rio and the refreshing A Lab on Fire - Eau d'Ipanema, proving his versatility.
