Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Ancient Resins is shaped as a cohesive olfactory arc, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of Aftelier is evident from the opening to the final trail. Nothing here feels random, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Oil-based perfume supports a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

The olfactory framework is built around these accords: Balsamic, Citrus, Gourmet and Fruit forming a compact and readable structure. Secondary accord layers such as Spicy enrich the profile without taking over. The stylistic positioning is masculine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

When the pyramid is blended into one block the opening appears as one connected movement with a deep balsamic mood: Benzoin, Canary Cedronella, Coconut, Elemi, Frankincense and Labdanum.

The deeper layers are perceived as a smooth transition from opening to trail, which keeps the fragrance coherent.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Balsamic, Wood, Fruit and Aromatic.

Taken together Ancient Resins holds a coherent structure — the start forms character, the heart develops the core line, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. This is the type of composition best understood on skin.
