Perfume information

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Purple Elixir is shaped as a continuous scent journey, where notes flow with precision and warmth. The signature of Alyssa Ashley is clear in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de toilette keeps a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Whiteflower, Spicy, Musk and Floral. It also reaches into Ambery and Wood. At family level the composition sits in Floral, Musk and Wood.

As soon as the fragrance opens you catch airy floral opening notes: Jasmine and Star anise. Exactly these 2 notes set floral tenderness that gives the fragrance a clear opening statement.

In the heart you meet Cashmeran, Heliotrope and Orange blossom keeping a leathery musky direction. At drydown level the line is anchored through Ambergris, Vetiver and musk, shaping a deep amber trail.

The profile is feminine, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

In summary Purple Elixir sounds complete from start to finish — the opening sets direction, the middle layer carries the identity, and the base secures the trail. These are the fragrances best understood through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

What a strange combination, mint soap and self-tanner at the same time. The aldehydes here are just overpowering, too many anise notes, and even a feeling of sun-burnt skin. This is definitely not for me 😅
