Fragrance information:

Musk Alyssa Ashley, unveiled in 1968, is positioned as a unisex fragrance, drawing from the wood and floral families. In eau de toilette — and that's all it takes to fall in love.

The sillage is extremely noticeable — noticeable, but never overwhelming. In terms of longevity, it sits at moderate — long enough to make a real impression. Country of origin — the United States: no wonder the fragrance turned out this refined. Musk Alyssa Ashley unfolds gradually, effortlessly, and with great refinement — a perfect choice for day or evening.

Description of the composition

The scent of Musk is built as a continuous scent journey, where notes flow without rush and without gaps. The creative approach of Alyssa Ashley is recognizable in the way notes appear and fade. Nothing here feels random, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de toilette keeps the depth and body this composition needs.

The profile is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read. In wear duration Middle indicates a stable lasting impression. In projection Extremely noticeable describes the way the scent radiates.

Right at the start you detect petal-airy top notes: Jasmine, Rose and Violet. Exactly these 3 notes set romantic softness that is impossible to miss.

In the middle phase you sense Iris, Moss, Noble Woods and musk carrying a opulent floral direction. In the final layer the line is anchored through musk, extending a warm skin-like trail.

At olfactory-group level the profile is anchored in Whiteflower, Floral, Earthy / Mossy and Wood. The framework further includes Musk. Within olfactory families the composition sits in Floral and Wood.

In summary Musk holds a coherent structure — the opening sets direction, the heart develops the core line, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the fragrances best judged on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

What an interesting scent! It's hard to immediately tell if I like it or not. It seems this brand's first perfume is clearly inspired by Chanel No 5 Eau de Toilette, although its longevity is significantly inferior. Overall, it's quite simple and quiet. The pyramid on the website raises doubts. What do I smell? Bergamot is definitely present, as well as ylang-ylang and aldehydes, which reminds me of Chanel No 5. The floral bouquet of rose and iris is also pleasing, and the musk here is as soft as a kitten's fur. The base is a bit powdery and has a light soapy undertone, but unfortunately, it lacks moss. The longevity isn't very high, the sillage is intimate, it's a shame there isn't more - I'd love to grab it and run away with it 💫

This scent is clearly from the past, immediately bringing back memories of the soaps and cosmetics our parents and grandmothers used. It's truly familiar, as if it transports you to old haberdashery and tobacco shops. Compared to other retro fragrances, this one looks quite appealing, combining sweet spices with aldehydes and musk, with a light leather undertone. It's dense and rich, but not in an oriental style; rather, in its time it was something fresh, and now, against the backdrop of modern scents, it seems more evening and languid. To me, it smells masculine, painting a picture of an evening in an expensive club with cigars, billiards, and cards 🎩

The scent is indeed light and transparent, but I don't know how to rate it. It's so summery, almost weightless, yet at the same time it evokes a feeling of coolness and purity. It seems like something intimate, as it doesn't spread far and is only noticeable upon close contact. It's as if it envelops you in a barely perceptible mist that resembles a second skin. The sillage is very small, but so delicate and beautiful that I can't decide if I like it or not 🤔

My first encounter with the fragrance, to be honest, disappointed me a bit. All I could think was: why do I need to smell so ordinary and simple, as if I'd just stepped out of the shower? After all, perfume should be bright and memorable! But, strangely enough, I was once again convinced that perfumes need to be worn for a while. In the end, this scent became a true friend to me. It supports me in difficult moments, when I don't want to stand out, but just need something familiar and close by 🌸

The first time I tried Musk Etro, I was really disappointed. Honestly, I thought: "What kind of nonsense is this?" I didn't want to just smell fresh, like I'd just stepped out of the shower. The scent isn't bad, of course, but I didn't find anything outstanding about it! A fragrance should be more expressive and interesting, in my opinion. But it's not the first time I've realized that many fragrances need time to unfold. I wore it, and now Musk Etro has become my favorite perfume! It always supports me in difficult moments
