Fragrance information:

In 2024, the brand Amaro introduced Aeterna, an extract-concentration unisex composition that instantly caught the attention of oriental perfume connoisseurs.

The new release continues the house's philosophy, combining noble woody notes with sensual accents.

The creator of Aeterna is the brand's founder, perfumer Andreas Wilhelm. His signature is recognizable: complex oriental structures, generous doses of oud, and impeccable work with spices.

Wilhelm created a fragrance that sounds like a modern ode to classic Arabian perfumes — but with European elegance.

Olfactory portrait

Amaro Aeterna is rich and multifaceted. The opening greets with the coolness of hyacinth and violet leaf, but within a few minutes the heart unfolds with intoxicating rose and piquant saffron.

The base envelops with a woody-leathery accord of tonka bean and musk — this sillage lingers on the skin for a very long time.

Due to its very strong sillage, the fragrance requires careful dosing. Two to three sprays are enough: it's better to apply to pulse points, avoiding clothing to leave no lasting marks.

Aeterna is ideal for cool weather and evening outings — it will sound luxurious and leave no one indifferent.

Similar fragrances

If you're drawn to the aesthetic of Amaro Aeterna, take a look at other oriental unisex compositions. Among them is Nabeel Acqua di Nabeel Absolute with its rich oud and spices.

Enthusiasts will also appreciate The Spirit of Dubai Haibah and Sultan Pasha Attars Cheval d'Arabie — they share a love for deep leather and woody textures.

Description of the composition

The Amaro Aeterna composition is built around a contrast of freshness and depth. The top notes — hyacinth, violet leaf, rose, and oud — set an elegant start.

The heart unfolds with saffron, styrax, tobacco, and rose in an embrace of oud. The base resonates with cedar, leather, tonka beans, oud, and musk.

This is a complex, multifaceted pyramid that gradually reveals itself on the skin, leaving a long sillage.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.
