Antonio Maretti Uncensored Cherry

Uncensored Cherry is an eau de parfum by Antonio Maretti, released in 2024.

The fragrance became part of the Prestige collection and immediately makes a bold statement with its juicy cherry, almond sweetness and warm boozy accord.

Antonio Maretti is a young Italian independent niche perfumery brand founded in 2018 by perfumer and visionary Antonio Maretti.

Its style is built around expressive compositions, a vivid character and a free interpretation of familiar olfactory themes.

Uncensored Cherry perfectly conveys this aesthetic: it does not try to go unnoticed, yet it does not overwhelm the wearer with excessive intensity.

The fragrance’s character and development

At first, Uncensored Cherry comes across as festive and slightly provocative.

The cherry accord gains nutty depth from almond, while whisky adds a dry, rich and slightly sparkling nuance to the composition.

The opening is not simply fruity but multilayered, combining the juiciness of ripe berries with gourmand creaminess and an elegant boozy bitterness.

As it develops, the fragrance becomes softer and warmer. Cinnamon intensifies its spicy volume, jasmine and rose add floral translucence, while vanilla brings all the facets together into a smooth, rounded accord.

As a result, Uncensored Cherry maintains a balance between sweetness and character without turning into a straightforward dessert.

In the base, the composition takes on a woody, velvety texture.

Sandalwood makes the scent smooth, tonka beans support its almond-vanilla mood, while vetiver adds a dry contrast and helps keep the fragrance polished and composed.

The finish remains warm, subtly spicy and memorable.

Who is Uncensored Cherry for?

Positioned as a unisex fragrance, it can be enjoyed by anyone, regardless of gender.

It will appeal to those who love fruity and gourmand compositions but expect more than sweetness from them—depth, spice and an expressive lingering trail.

The cherry here is remarkably versatile: flirtatious at the opening, elegant at the heart and sensual in the base.

Its moderate sillage makes the fragrance noticeable while remaining comfortable for everyday wear.

Uncensored Cherry is especially lovely in cool weather, in the evening, on a date, when meeting friends or at an informal event.

In warm weather, it is best applied sparingly to preserve its beautiful, airy development.

How to apply it and what to compare it with

The ideal amount of Uncensored Cherry is one to two sprays on the skin—enough for the composition to unfold gradually while maintaining an expressive trail.

One to two sprays are also recommended on clothing, applied from a comfortable distance and avoiding delicate light-colored fabrics.

If you would like to explore a similar mood, take a look at Salvador Dali Le Roy Soleil, as well as PREparfumer Cherry Gourmet and Max Philip Cherry.

They may also appeal to fans of cherry and gourmand notes, although Uncensored Cherry stands out with its combination of cherry, whisky, spices and a woody base.

No other concentrations of the fragrance are listed in the available data, so Uncensored Cherry should be considered specifically as an eau de parfum with a fruity-gourmand character.

This is a striking, warm and modern release from Antonio Maretti for those who like to wear their mood with confidence and without unnecessary restraint.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth

For me, this is cherry pits, liqueur and thick sweetness. The fragrance is rich and warm, I constantly want to come back to it. On first sniff there is something in common with Ford's cherry, but in a direct comparison the difference is obvious. I still need to see how it performs when worn
