Asama Perfumes Asama Oud Perfume

Asama Oud is a unique unisex fragrance launched in 2015 by the Kuwaiti niche house Asama Perfumes.

The perfume belongs to the oriental and woody fragrance families and is an eau de parfum.

It was created by brothers Abdulwahab and Ahmed Mohammed Al Refai, inspired by precious oud oil.

The Asama Perfumes brand was born in the heart of Kuwait in 2011 and became a story of family passion.

Its founders sought to convey the richness of Eastern culture and modern technology through fragrance.

Asama Oud is a vivid example of this fusion: it reveals natural, carefully selected nuances in a multifaceted and luxurious way.

Asama Oud has a very strong sillage, making it ideal for evenings out and special occasions.

It is a compliment-getting, recognizable fragrance that conveys harmony and allure.

If you love Asama Oud, be sure to explore similar fragrances: Tom Ford Sahara Noir with its smoky notes, Lancôme L'Autre Oud with a softer interpretation of oud, and Byredo Tobacco Mandarin with its tobacco-citrus accent.

The packaging is worthy of the fragrance within: the black-and-gold bottle is crowned with a natural wood cap.

Description of the composition

Asama Oud Fragrance Notes

The composition of Asama Oud is built around noble oud, which opens the fragrance with a rich smoky-woody accent.

At its heart, labdanum unfolds, lending an amber-balsamic sweetness with subtle animalic facets.

The base features the modern molecule Kephalis, enhancing sensuality and adding warm tobacco nuances.

Together, these notes create a multifaceted, warming and luxurious olfactory portrait.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

This perfume just blows your mind! The oud is so intense, it reminds you of something strange, even a bit medicinal. In short, this is definitely not for the faint of heart
