Ambre Maquis joined the Bastide portfolio in 2017. A unisex fragrance rooted in the east and wood families. Perfumer Mathieu Nardin poured every ounce of mastery into this one. In eau de toilette — and that's all it takes to fall in love.

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Ambre Maquis evolves as a cohesive olfactory arc, where notes flow without rush and without gaps. The signature of Bastide is recognizable in the way notes appear and fade. Nothing here feels random, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de toilette emphasizes the right density and pace of development.

The accord architecture is shaped by these accords: Balsamic, Citrus, Floral and Wood without random overlap. Secondary accord layers such as Amber and Spicy add depth to the backdrop. The stylistic positioning is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read. In longevity terms High indicates a stable lasting impression. In diffusion Weak describes the way the scent radiates.

In the top tier you sense incense warm opening notes: Elemi and Mandarin.

In the heart you notice Labdanum and Rose holding a resinous meditative direction.
