Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Profanum is shaped as a layered story, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of BLAK is recognizable in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Every decision feels deliberate, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Perfume extract emphasizes a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

At olfactory-group level the composition is built around Ambery, Green, Balsamic and Gourmet. The palette also extends to Wood, Fairy and Musk. Within olfactory families the fragrance belongs to Balsamic, East and Wood.

Without strict stage separation the fragrance opens as a single chord with a resinous voluminous mood: Ambergris, Angelica, Benzoin, Coffee, Elemi, Frankincense and Myrrh.

The deeper layers are read as a gradual shift without abrupt breaks, which gives the structure continuity.

The olfactory framework is driven by these accords: Balsamic, Gourmet, Musc and Wood without random overlap. Background accords such as Amber and Spicy enrich the profile without taking over.

Taken together Profanum holds a coherent structure — the start forms character, the middle layer carries the identity, while the drydown anchors the memory. This is the type of composition best experienced in wear.
