Fragrance information:

In 2008, Bobbi Brown introduced Almost Bare — a fragrance that's hard to forget. By character, a feminine fragrance drawing from the green and floral families. In eau de parfum — and that's all it takes to fall in love.

Expect a very delicate sillage: a quiet, intimate presence. In terms of longevity, it sits at moderate — long enough to make a real impression. Produced in the United States, where perfumery has long been elevated to an art form. Almost Bare Bobbi Brown unfolds gradually, effortlessly, and with great refinement — a perfect choice for day or evening.

Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Almost Bare unfolds as a layered story, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The signature of Bobbi Brown is clear in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Every decision feels deliberate, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum supports the depth and body this composition needs.

From the first breath you detect invigorating sunny top notes: Bergamot and Violet leaf. Exactly these 2 notes build a burst of citrus freshness that is impossible to miss.

In the heart you notice Jasmine and Lily of the Valley holding a creamy tuberose direction.

The gender direction is feminine, which makes the scent profile easier to read. In longevity terms Middle suggests confident staying power. In diffusion Very weak describes the way the scent radiates.

At olfactory-group level the structure relies on Citrus, Green, Whiteflower and Wood. The palette also extends to Musk, Floral and Earthy / Mossy. Within olfactory families the scent maps to Floral and Green.

In summary Almost Bare sounds complete from start to finish — the start forms character, the heart develops the core line, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. This is the type of composition best judged in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

I recently stumbled upon this fragrance, and it's simply amazing! Don't expect anything extravagant or loud from it; it's more of a gentle and intimate scent. It combines notes of lily of the valley and the freshness of a woman's skin, and in my opinion, that's exactly how white musk should smell. It's truly something special!!!

The scent really does resemble bare skin, but more like tanned skin, dark and slightly earthy, like clay. Visually, it's associated with ethnic beauty, like the woman on the poster. The fragrance also contains notes of intimacy and slight provocation; there's something bold and daring about it

This fragrance, honestly, only causes irritation. No freshness at all, just some murky water, like in an abandoned pond. Petals and leaves? Who needs that! In the end, it creates not a spring-like, but some kind of oppressive feeling. A complete disappointment
