Fragrance information:

The house of Chevignon gifted the world with Chevignon 57 for Him in 1999. By character, a masculine fragrance drawing from the wood and floral families. An eau de toilette — light-footed, but utterly unforgettable.

It carries a moderate sillage, leaving a trail that lingers pleasantly in the air. One application and it's not going anywhere — longevity is very high. Country of origin — France, and that already says something about the quality. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Chevignon 57 for Him unfolds as a layered story, where notes flow with precision and warmth. The signature of Chevignon is clear from the opening to the final trail. Every decision feels deliberate, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de toilette keeps the depth and body this composition needs.

At olfactory-group level the profile is anchored in Spicy, Citrus, Aromatic and Wood. It also reaches into Whiteflower, Green, Floral and Musk. Within olfactory families the scent maps to Floral and Wood.

From the first breath you meet piquant warm top notes: Cardamom, Lemon and Mint.

When the opening settles you detect Cedar, Orange blossom and Violet leaf carrying a spicy-woody direction.

The stylistic positioning is masculine, which clarifies the composition character. In wear duration Very high suggests confident staying power. In projection Middle shows the style of diffusion around the wearer.

Overall Chevignon 57 for Him holds a coherent structure — the first stage creates momentum, the central phase adds depth, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the fragrances best understood through real development.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Here, two notes that I don't really like have come together, but how magnificent they are here! Cardamom and mint - bright, sharp, yet incredibly appealing. It seems I'm starting to get into men's fragrances from the 90s. There's too much monotony in modern perfumes, but here, character is clearly felt. The scent is simply captivating, it smoothly transitions from one freshness to another!!
